We're incredibly excited to introduce our TWO winners of the 2026 Search for a Storyteller competition, run in partnership with the Arvon Foundation.

Sunni Bell's Guide to Harbouring a Fugitive Gorilla and Other Life Lessons by Claire Mi-Son Hennon

The Jellyfish Cure for Growing Up by Joanna Todd

We fell in love with two joyful and utterly brilliant middle-grade stories, and we're so excited to bring them to readers.

A huge congratulations to Claire Mi-Son Hennon and Joanna Todd.

To every author who entered this year - thank you! It's been such a pleasure to read all your stories. A very special congratulations, too, to all the everyone who made the longlist and shortlist.

We can't wait for what's next!
